Be nice! This is a chat group. It should be a fun and safe space for everyone, regardless of age, race, gender identity, orientation or religious affiliation! No ill will or bigotry will be tolerated whatsoever. This includes exclusionary LGBTQA+ rhetoric and describing harmless behaviors as “cringy”. Just so there's absolutely no room for misinterpretation, we don't allow racists, sexists, islamophobes, nazis, homophobes, transphobes, terfs, bi/panphobes, aspec exlusionists, ableists or bigots of any other kind!

Be diplomatic! If conflicts do arise, big or small, try to solve them with tact. Be honest when someone does or says something that bothers you. Have a private conversation about it if need be. In a case where it escalates or is otherwise unmanageable for you in the moment, get in touch with an admin or moderator as soon as possible. We’ll do our best to solve the problem in a way that makes everyone feel comfortable.

Be considerate of everyone's comfort zones. Other members will almost undoubtedly have triggers and sore subjects that differ from yours. Reference our group blacklist on occasion to ensure you're familiar with its contents. If someone asks you to change the subject, politely do so and take that into account in the future.

In the same vein, refrain from ANY allusion or discussion of inappropriate or otherwise sensitive topics, such as mentions or descriptions of sex, gore, non-medical drug intake, substance abuse or addiction, sexual abuse/assault, pedophilia, incest, self harm and suicide. Even in the vent channels.

Be mindful of everyone's ages! We welcome members 16 years and up, so there may turn out to be a bit of a range between your age and the age of the person you’re chatting or trading with. If you’re an adult and you happen to be interacting with a minor, which will be denoted by a -18 role attached to their account, never overstep any boundaries.

If you're linking to an image or webpage containing content that might otherwise bother or disturb someone, give a warning and put the links within spoiler tags. Alternatively, you can use general tags, like so: <link here>. That kills the preview so anybody who doesn't want to see it won't need to.

Don't promote or discuss personal involvement of any illegal activity pertaining to cheats, hacks, bots or server backdoors. We don't condone any of that here.

If it's not being posted about in the trades or sales channels, don't bother people about wanting their items, pets, clothes, equipment, etc.

Similarly, if someone is posting in the trades or sales channels and they aren't fond of what you're offering, don't try to haggle. No means no.

Lending is typically viewed as an "at your own risk" type of exchange, and while we agree with that logic, we're not going to disallow it or distance it from our jurisdiction entirely. Instead, we're putting restrictions and precautions in place. To abide by these restrictions and precautions, only ask for another member to lend you any kind of item, pet, or amount of in game currency if you're capable of paying them back in full within two weeks. In a case where it's going to take you slightly longer than that (up to two more weeks) you have to inform the other party of the delay and they have to consent to it. If it comes to a point where it's been a month since the initial date of the lending, an emergency situation hasn't popped up in your life and you haven't returned what you owe, a staff member will have to step in and take some kind of action. This is to ensure that no one is unfairly robbed of their belongings or has to be in an awkward situation.

Asking for views and clicks for games where views and clicks are relevant is fine, but please don't spam. One link drop per case is more than enough.

Only discuss spoilers, theories, quest solutions and etc. within spoiler tags. We don't want to risk ruining anybody's fun.

Lighthearted ranting or complaining is usually fine, but try to refrain from discussing any serious negativity outside of the vent channels. In the case of bringing up any kind of community drama, we'd also like there to be no name dropping. If there needs to be name dropping for the sake of awareness, please take it to direct messages.

Never assume that someone who posts a harmless concept or piece of art wants a critique! If they haven't made a point to ask, then it's not your place to supply one.

We may implement special alert roles that will be used for the express purpose of pinging people who play a certain game with a certain time specific function. The POUND ALERT role is an example of roles like these. Just for context, it's a role we give to people who play Chicken Smoothie and would like to be notified when the in game pound is open or going to be open momentarily. That's its only intended purpose, so please don't use that role or any other roles like it for anything other than their specified function! While we're all here to chat, enjoy ourselves and in some cases find solace, there will be times when no one will say anything in response to something that you post, whether it be a selfie, a piece of art or a vent. Feeling upset is perfectly valid and understandable, but please try to take these occasions in stride. Making the assumption that silence or an eventual change of a subject is intended as a personal attack is not only harmful to your perception of yourself, but also to the group environment. We regard all complaints referencing messages in this server being "ignored" as guilt trips, which are not welcome.

If you're invited to the server and you don't post your introduction within one week of joining, you'll be kicked. This isn't ill will, or anything. We would just prefer to err on the side of safety. To avoid this being a concern at all, please post your introduction in the introductions channel as soon as possible!
